Our history

AgroFrost — Europe's leading manufacturer in frost protection

Created in 2001 in Belgium, AgroFrost was built on a founding conviction: frost protection should no longer be a privilege reserved for large estates, but an industrial certainty accessible to every grower. Twenty-five years later, that ambition has translated into recognised know-how, ranges proven on every continent and an active presence in 29 countries.

Initially distributing the Chilean LAZO Frost machines, the company quickly developed its own technologies by adapting this equipment to a gas technology based on the phase-transition principle — a technical breakthrough that lastingly sets AgroFrost apart from its competitors.

Recognised industrial expertise

Recognised industrial expertise

In 2012, a strategic alliance with GMP Metal Work in Poland marked a decisive turning point: AgroFrost took control of its manufacturing. From this collaboration came the FrostBuster and FrostGuard, today undisputed benchmarks in European fruit growing and viticulture.

In 2018, AgroFrost expanded its offering with the Chinook frost protection wind machines, then in 2020 launched the manufacturing of its own licensed wind machines, consolidating its position as an integrated manufacturer.

Accelerated international development

Accelerated international development

In 2023, AgroFrost–GMP entered a new growth cycle with the support of Delta Alternative Management, strengthening its investments in research, development and agricultural innovation.

AgroFrost's head office and technical service are based in France; the production site is established in Dobiegniew, Poland. The group now brings together nearly thirty staff: engineers, technicians, mechanics, electricians and sales representatives. Spare-part distribution is handled from France or Poland depending on the geographical zone. Dedicated after-sales support address: aftersales@agrofrost.eu

Why choose AgroFrost?

Advantages

The reliability of a manufacturer, the responsiveness of a field specialist

Most market players distribute equipment they did not design. AgroFrost takes the opposite path: we manufacture what we sell. This industrial mastery translates into concrete commitments — on quality, parts availability and service responsiveness — that we fully assume, every season.

  • Production cost control ensuring an excellent performance/investment ratio
  • Rigorous quality control at every manufacturing stage
  • Spare parts available from France or Poland, with reduced lead times
  • Technical support provided by in-house frost protection specialists
  • Responsive after-sales service, consolidated field presence

The V-Blade: an exclusive technology

The V-Blade: an exclusive technology

An AgroFrost exclusive, the V-Blade is the result of twenty years of development under real operating conditions. Its single-piece fibreglass construction eliminates assembly zones — the usual sources of mechanical fatigue and vibration. At 540 rpm, its perfect dynamic balancing guarantees smooth rotation in all atmospheric conditions, for optimised aerodynamic performance and exceptional service life.

  • Proven reliability in the most demanding climatic conditions
  • Exclusive technology: covered area up to twice that of competing blades of comparable size
  • Single-piece structure reducing mechanical stress and maintenance needs
  • Optimised aerodynamic performance for maximum hot-air diffusion

A dedicated technical team in France and Poland

Our dealer network is trained in AgroFrost technologies and can intervene directly on site or assist you remotely for a quick diagnosis, a settings check or technical advice before the season.

With AgroFrost, farmers benefit from a single partner for the manufacturing, technical assistance and operational follow-up of their protection equipment — from initial commissioning to the end of the machines' service life.

Our reference engines

Volvo — Excellence in extreme conditions

Volvo — Excellence in extreme conditions

The Volvo Penta engine has established itself as the reference power unit in the world of frost protection wind machines, thanks to its proven reliability in intensive night-time use and its exceptional longevity. Recognised worldwide, it delivers steady, optimal power even in the harshest atmospheric conditions — and its low maintenance costs make it an economically rational investment over the machine's entire service life.

  • Absolute reference power unit in the frost protection wind machine sector
  • Reliability recognised worldwide, proven in intensive use
  • Constant, steady power, even in extreme conditions
  • Exceptional longevity — low maintenance costs over time

Yuchai — Accessible performance

Yuchai — Accessible performance

Selected for its robustness and compliance with international quality standards, the Yuchai engine offers a competitive alternative with no compromise on reliability. Its performance in intensive use is comparable to that of more expensive engines, making it a strategic choice for operators seeking to optimise their initial investment.

  • Manufacturing compliant with international quality standards
  • Proven durability for prolonged intensive use
  • Particularly competitive performance/price ratio

Two engines geared towards the future

Whether the Volvo Penta or the Yuchai, our new-generation engines share decisive characteristics for modern farming: manufacturing compliant with international quality standards.

  • Electronic injection reducing fuel consumption
  • Compatibility with biofuels (HVO, B100) — a concrete response to tomorrow's environmental challenges
  • Modern, versatile architecture, easily serviced by networks of certified technicians
