Thermal reinforcement for frost protection wind machines — Booster Oil & Booster Pellet
Thermal reinforcement for the coldest nights
Boosters & Burners
Complementary solutions for the most critical nights.
During black frost events — with no thermal inversion — or when the inversion layer is too cold to be exploited by the wind machine alone, a supply of heat at ground level becomes essential. AgroFrost boosters were designed precisely for these borderline situations.
essential. AgroFrost boosters were designed precisely for these borderline situations.
Placed around the wind machine, they diffuse even heat in the immediate vicinity of the crops, reinforcing the air mixing and maintaining a stable temperature across the whole protected area. Their modular design allows several to be deployed around a single wind machine, activating each unit individually according to frost intensity. The AgroFrost technical recommendation: an input of 150 kW per hectare to be protected.
Available in pellet (wood) or oil versions, AgroFrost boosters combine thermal efficiency, operating economy and ease of deployment. Compact and robust, they are set up quickly and require no specialised intervention.

Booster Pellet burner
The Booster Pellet uses wood pellets to generate continuous, even and environmentally responsible heat. Available in three outputs, it adapts to every farm configuration, from small plots to large areas.

PELLET BURNERS — 3 VERSIONS
- BR-P100 - 100 KW: Width 139.5 cm - Height 298.8 cm - 1 hopper
- BR-P350 - 300 KW: Width 216 cm - Height 351.8 cm - 4 hoppers (4 x 120 kg)
- BR-P650 - 600 KW: Width 214 cm - Height 351.8 cm - 7 hoppers (7 x 120 kg)
Recommended input: 150 kW per hectare. Consumption varies with the quality, moisture content and handling conditions of the pellets.
Booster Oil burner
Powerful and immediately deployable, the Booster Oil is the most responsive thermal-reinforcement solution. Three power levels make it possible to fine-tune the heat input to the observed frost intensity. Its maximum capacity of 1,200 kW/h makes it the tool of choice for large plots exposed to the most severe frosts.

DIESEL BURNERS
- MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 1 200 kW/h
- POWER LEVELS: 3 settings
- CONSUMPTION: 40 to 120 litres/hour (depending on setting and tank size)
- ELECTRICAL SUPPLY: 12 / 24 V
- FUEL SUPPLY: Electric pump
- OPTION: Fuel tank available
Recommended input: 150 kW per hectare.

Booster usage guide
Activating the boosters is essential in two distinct situations: during a black frost without thermal inversion (the wind machine alone cannot compensate for the absence of a warm layer above), or when the inversion layer is present but not warm enough to ensure complete protection of the area.
Always start the boosters while the temperature is still positive. If the upper probe remains positive while the lower probe keeps dropping despite the wind machine running, activate the boosters immediately.
In the total absence of thermal inversion, the boosters must run directly at full power from the moment they are activated. Check the fuel or pellet level regularly to avoid any interruption during the frost fight.
